Denver 5 Comics, 31-35

A few months ago, I and a friend kicked around an aborted comics project featuring superhuman jerks being jerks on a truly superhuman level. I wrote some test scripts, but we never got the art together. Character descriptions are here.

Comic 031
1. TYLER FOSS in a cell block with a hallway running in front of it. At the end of the hallway, there's a turn away from the cells. CYBER PARANOID is walking around that turn.

Cyber Paranoid
"Nice digs. Learn anything?"

Tyler
"No. Not really."

2. CYBER PARANOID is closer now. Almost in front of TYLER'S cell. Tyler is taken aback.

Cyber Paranoid
"Did you at least try to pick the lock on the cuffs on the ride over?"

Tyler
"No!"

3. Same shot. CYBERPARANOID is curious. TYLER is embarassed.

Cyber Paranoid
"Then how was the ride over?"

4. Same shot. CYBER PARANOID is laughing. TYLER is fuming a bit.

Cyber Paranoid
(1)"Never mind. I see the marks on your face."
(2)"That is so stupid!"

Comic 032
1. CYBER PARANOID is still in the cell block with TYLER FOSS. Tyler is annoyed. Cyber Paranoid is looking around, taking in the surroundings.

Tyler
"Why are you even in here?"

2-3. Same shot. CYBER PARANOID is addressing TYLER now.

Cyber Paranoid
"I'm an invisible hacker with authority issues."

4. Same shot.

Cyber Paranoid
"And they said I couldn't come in."

Comic 033
1. DOCTOR ROBERTS in the office from strips 28-30 with the OLDER OFFICER.

Doctor Roberts
"So you think that if the dealer gets caught, Tyler stands a good chance of having the charges dropped."

Older Officer
"So long as the prosecutors are gonna get their pound of flesh--"

2. Same shot.

Older Officer
"--and it happens before the papers get a name, yeah."

Doctor Roberts
"So I need to catch and deliver low-level drug dealer before-- "

3. Same shot. DOCTOR ROBERTS is looking up and away. OLDER OFFICER is surprised and confused.

4. Same scene. DOCTOR ROBERTS is getting up. OLDER OFFICER is still confused.

Doctor Roberts
"—sunrise. Excuse me, I have to talk to a violent, irrational vigilante I don't know."

Comic 034
1. TYLER FOSS in a cell block with THOMAS SMITH. Smith is carrying a briefcase. Smith looks bemused.

Tyler

"So...how bad is it?"

Smith

"You thought it was bad? It's not bad."

2. Same shot. Tyler is confused.

Tyler

"What?"

Smith

"You're rich. This won't even go to trial."

3. Same shot. Tyler is dubious.

Tyler

"I'm...not rich."

Smith

"But U.N.I.T.Y. is, and you're in U.N.I.T.Y."

4. Same shot. Tyler is incredulous.

Smith

(1)"By the transitive property, you're in the clear.

(2)"Provided the catch the drug dealer."

Comic 35
1. THOMAS SMITH and TYLER FOSS are in Tyler's cell block from 031-032. Smith is carrying a briefcase.

Smith
"You said his name was Jessie Childs?"

Tyler
"Yeah."

2. Same scene. 

Smith
"Great. He's probably the one who gave Ms. Michaels the drugs."

3. Same scene. TYLER FOSS is curious.

Tyler
"Right, but what if he didn't do it? What if someone else was selling meta-drugs?"

4. Same scene. THOMAS SMITH is laughing.
