There's so much more to this episode than there is to this episode. The Sulu stuff needs to be better. The McCoy stuff needs to be better. The Spock/Scotty stuff needs to be better. I would've supported Scotty if he'd launched a coup here.
What is the deal with Spock's hand...button...pressulator? And how are we just now talking about jeffries tubes?!

Man, Sulu does a bunch of stuff in this ep!
They could've rewritten it as a sitcom starring Sulu.
Maybe Spock is remotely piloting someone else's (or for some reason his own) body all ep?
Garth Merenghi is indeed amazing.
But whose body? Kevin Riley? Lt Leslie? Lt Kyle?
Shyamalan twist: he's controlling the killbots.
I wouldn't put that beyond the realm of possibility. It might explain why they're even there in the first place.
