All that, and those videos didn't impress the legions of spambots that pushed my numbers disturbingly high last month. I'm still breaking 40,000 lifetime hits this month, so that's pretty cool1.
Anyway, I'm trying to look forward to the future. Preordained blockbuster/social obligation Iron Man 3 hits theaters May 3. So you're just a single is he/isn't he drunk Harrison Ford video away from watching the first buckling bulkhead of a successful movie franchise implosion.
Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and director Edgar Wright are producing their third collaboration (after little-known films such as Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead); World's End. It comes out August 23rd. I'm excited.
Between those two2 is Pacific Rim, which I've talked up a little bit. It's coming out July 12 and I'm absolutely going to see it, unless I'm a broke hobo.
On the broke hobo topic; I might have a job as an entry-level software developer for an unnamed company. Strangely, a few Mondays ago this job agency said they had an opportunity for my untrained ass. I just had to take a few tests on C# and .NET shit. I didn't know any of that, but I used some online classes and burned through 24 hours before taking the test and doing pretty well with it.
The application process--both interviews, paperwork, and massive amounts of studying--has been constant ever since, but it's still ongoing which is a pretty good sign. I have an interview on Friday.
I'm very sorry to everyone who's trying to get with me on shit right now, but I'm trying to learn a new programming language and an internet software framework from scratch so I can get my foot into the door of an industry that I'm really excited to be a part of.
I'm nervous and I'm swinging way out of my league, but I'm excited and it's something I know I can do, and it's something I can only attempt because of all of my friends.

Funny story: I didn't pass in the conventional sense (40%), but I apparently rocked it in the percentiles so it worked out.

I've heard really good things about Wreck-It Ralph. If it's like Speed Racer though, that's even more promising.
Yeah, the Nimoy/Quinto thing is pretty cool. Been meaning to queue it up for a Tuesday, but been kinda lazy.
