Ptthph!
So I'm still looking for a job and trying to stay ahead of my blog update schedule (not always successfully). I've had some problems concentrating lately either because of too much or too little caffeine/alcohol. Not sure. Should investigate further.
I thought I'd take a moment to mention a few other things that are going on.
I have a tumblr where I occasionally post funny pictures of things at: http://vanvelding.tumblr.com/
I also have one where I put up pictures of attractive men (no cocks): http://2vitm.tumblr.com/
And there's a tumblr on social issues which I'm not sure is a good thing or not: http://shouttheemptyyonder.tumblr.com/
Oh, and the hot guys tumblr is really just personal faves, so if I'm accidentally reblogging some stuff that reveals an embarrassing, subconscious thing, be bro and say, "According to your tumblr, you have a weird plywood floor fetish." I'd like to know.
Also, Rude started posting again at http://rudesmusicblog.blogspot.com/
And Skiltao has resurfaced after a hiatus, though I'm not sure if he's going to have the time to update consistently.
I'm trying to get into online communities like Battletech and the MTG Salvation Card Creation forums, but community support for boring content is strong and response to anything exciting is generally negative, so it's hard to get excited about communicating with boring, judgmental assholes and I'm on the verge of calling the whole thing a wash.
The poll (pictured right) was finished and everyone seemed interested in seeing more news, politics, and gay stuff (and Batman), which surprised the fuck out of me since I always feel preachy and condescending when I get rolling on that shit, but whatevs.
Dragon's Maze is out and I don't have the money to play it, but I'm sure it'll be great. Bringing back split cards with the fuse mechanic seems like a cool idea.
I finally got an appropriate twitter handle, @vanvelding, if you want to check that out.
I'm planning on getting away from Google products in the near future. Blogspot has always been glitchy, Google+ is creepy and invasive, and every other Google service throws up script errors (plus general privacy concerns). I'm taking suggestions for alternative video hosting (Vimeo?), group chat (Roll20?), and mapping services.
