Geordi takes some sharp blows to the heart over the course of The Next Generation.

And this might be an exaggeration,

 

But this woman passed up a spot on the Enterprise--the ship everyone in Starfleet would shiv their own mothers to get on--because Geordi was creeping her out*.

*Or because she was only getting close to him because he was trying to defend her during a murder investigation and didn't give a fuck once it was revealed that a body-eating shapeshifter was behind it.
