I've actually heard this season is moving more quickly than the previous ones, but then I only read recaps on the internet so what do I know? I just learned about the beetle-smashing scene this week and it made me sad I don't keep up.
I dunno if it calls back to the first season. It's been a while.
Jon Snow coming back to life doesn't draw me in nearly as much as an honest conversation between two brothers. They're so far apart, but still close. There's so much happening in that scene and fucking Peter Dinklage is not overrated. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau isn't terrible either, but...

Yeah... and yet, somehow, people are always surprised that I don't watch this show.
Also: pleasantly surprised that SNL managed to make a decent sketch of it.
