Europa Report was really good. I rewatched
Doctor Who's "The Waters of Mars" which was a perfect companion for it and a great counterpoint to the moral sewers of
Deep Space Nine and The Eleventh Doctor's run.
Voting is up too (pick two). The theme this week is movies from USA's Up All Night or TNT's Monstervision.
C.H.U.D. (1984, 96 minutes)
You never show the monster in the trailer! You never show the monster in the trailer! You never show the monster in the trailer!
I only have one hypothesis for movies like
C.H.U.D. The eighties had a weird fixation with getting New Yorkers out of their comfort zone & the rest of us really like watching New Yorkers suffer.
The Prophecy (1995, 98 minutes)
Guys, there really ought to be an eighties religious apocalypse film drinking game. Either
The Prophecy started that trend or it's just a distinguished member of the family. Either way, I'd like to cuddle up with a good drink and watch it.
Hellraiser (1987, 94 minutes)
More like, "hell
yeah," am I right?
Planet of the Apes (1968, 112 minutes)
I've seen every (good)
Planet of the Apes movie. I'm actually a little embarrassed that only one of my other friends have seen this thing. It's...classic.
License to Drive (1988, 88 minutes)
Hey, we have a fifth movie this phase because we've got a fifth member joining us regularly. Anyway, besides
Lost Boys, I don't think I've ever seen a movie with "the coreys." Lookin' forward to it.
