io9 has complied a list of great performances in geek and sci-fi roles. I don't know acting, but this article definitively proves that you can list about five of the ten shows on this list and I'll still agree with you because I'm preparing for an age where no one knows what Star Trek is anymore.

If you want it any better than Wolverine hanging out with 2012's internet sensation, Coulson is back. Nope, I don't care how and can't think of a scenario in which I would fucking care. Clark Gregg is a cool guy and I want to see him in things forever.
Laura Hudson, former Editor in Chief of Comics Alliance and all-around cool person left CA not too long ago. After doing some stuff for the LA Times (With pieces on The Walking Dead and Marvel Comics: The Untold Story), she has announced she's going to be working as Entertainment and Cultural Editor at Wired.
And just when I never thought I'd be happy to see hippies do anything, I learned they apparently play Kosho at Burning Man. We live in a world where you can see hippies play made-up martial arts from The Prisoner at a rock concert where--if my sources are correct--they burn Nick Cage in effigy.
If that wasn't proof enough that we're living in one of the best of all alternate universes, somethingawful--of all fucking places--did the definitive review of 1st Edition Dungeons and Dragons. When you think about it for a few minutes, you know it couldn't have been good, but the real question is: How Shit Was It?
Swinging back to Magic, I've met a lot of new players lately, so I wanted to make sure I marked the Welcome to Magic article for future reference. It's brilliant, by the way.

Clark Gregg is cool, but I don't know how long a Shield TV series can survive. (First episode: Coulson vs. Psy in Kosho.)
I'm not sure how long a Shield series would last either. I guess it could be a quirky procedural with superhuman elements and enough cameos to make you gag, but you'd have to have something to set it apart from the likes of Supernatural and Grimm.
Oh, and while Psy might look small and doughy, I'm betting he has an impressive cardio regimen, perfect for the kinetic, made-for-television martial art. Since it appears they're equally matched in their use of slow motion, I'm thinking it might actually be a close fight.
