Friend of mine loves Trejo films. (Only one I remember him in is Predators.) His solo stuff any good?
"Turkey sandwich inception" : standard Inception Foghorn trailer noise is replaced with an ominous, brassy & bassy baaawwwk baawwwk. Features fight sequence between Family Guy's giant chicken & The Animiacs' Chicken Boo.
Danny Trejo is sorta cursed to always appear in a very narrow set of roles. I don't know if it's because of his acting skills or if middle-aged, crag-faced Hispanic men never get cast opposite Resse Witherspoon.
I mean, I'm sure he was the #2 guy for Will Adama.
But what he does, he does well. I haven't seen Machete but I've heard good things. That's his only solo project I'm aware of. He was the best thing about Zombie Hunter. He's the token reasonable person in Steven Seagal is the Force of Execution. He's always a good thing in a movie, as an extra bonus in a good one, or a point of redemption in a bad one.
